All of us are on a spiritual journey; all are at different mileposts on that journey.  Since the very earliest days of the Catholic Church, there has been a process of accepting men, women, children, and entire families into the Church.  This process, which we today call the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA), follows the mission commanded by Jesus Christ:  “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19)

So perhaps you desire to complete your Sacraments of Initiation. Were you baptized but never made your First Communion or Confirmation? Maybe you were raised with a protestant tradition and would like to know more about how to become Catholic. Maybe, you were not raised in any faith tradition, but you just want to explore your options.

Here at St. Mary we meet on Thursday evenings and we start off with dinner together! After dinner we have a presentation by Deacon Jim Conrey and then we have time for group discussion and questions. It is a very relaxed atmosphere as you journey along exploring the Faith.

Our next session will begin on Thursday, December 5th at 6:30 to 8:30 PM in room 110. We would love to have you! Maybe you know someone who is interested but, would like you to come along, Great! We would then love to have you both!

If you would like more information, please contact Shirley Allen at or (224) 654-8596 or go to our St. Mary website and fill out the inquiry form. Hope to see you on December 5th!
