What is Camp WOW?
The WOW in Camp WOW! stands for Wonders of Worship. It is four days in June held at Dickson Valley Camp in Newark, IL. Any student currently in grades 6-7-8 are invited. Youth that come, grow closer to God and learn about their faith, all while having a great time.
The Youth Ministers of St. Mary (Huntley) St. Margaret Mary (Algonquin), St. John Neumann (St. Charles), and St. Thomas (Crystal Lake), are co-sponsoring, planning and holding the camp. Dickson Valley Camp and Retreat Center provides the meals, lodging, recreational facilities and equipment. The Youth Ministers are in charge of the program and content of the camp.
What do we do at Camp WOW?
Throughout the four days there will be small groups, games, crafts, sports, swimming, activities, talks, a talent show, Service Projects and more. There is also the opportunity to partake in daily Mass and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Who: For all Current 6th-7th-8th Grade Youth
When: June 17-20, 2013
Cost: $235.00 ($75.00 non-refundable deposit required with registration)
The remainder of your Camp Fee is due so as soon as possible and no later than May 1, 2013. If you have any special needs regarding payment, then please contact your Youth Minister. The total cost of camp is $235 per camper. You should have already paid a $75 registration fee to secure your spot at camp. The remaining balance is $160. Fundraising opportunites are available to all campers.
