This year, St. Mary’s Youth Ministry is hosting our FIRST ever
OCTOBER 6-7, 2018
“Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them, ‘What are you looking for?’ They said to him, ‘Rabbi’ (which translated means Teacher), ‘where are you staying?’ He said to them, ‘Come, and you will see.’ So they went and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day.” -John 1:38-39
Freshman year brings with it so many changes and exciting new opportunities! In the midst of all these changes and new things, we want to invite you to join a community, centered around the love of God, that wants to be there for you and support you. We know how hard it can be sometimes to live out your faith in high school, but we want to equip you with the resources and community needed to live out your faith with boldness as you begin high school!
Freshman Retreat is an opportunity to come and see what our community here at St. Mary Youth Ministry is all about! We cannot think of a better opportunity to enter into this community than to spend a weekend together in the woods, canoeing, praying, and participating in an all out PAINT WAR. On this retreat, teens will have the opportunity to meet new people who share their faith, to learn who God is and what it means to have a relationship with Him, and to have a lot of fun along the way!
This is a retreat for freshman in high school who want to encounter Christ, grow in relationship with Him, and meet other teens who share their faith.
Our first ever weekend Freshman Retreat! A retreat experience where you can encounter the Lord, grow in community, and learn how to live out your faith in high school with the help of Christ and one another. Come away with us for a weekend of food, games, and prayer!
The retreat will be held at Walcamp Retreat Center in Kingston, IL. We will take busses to and from the retreat. We will provide transportation via bus. October 6-7, 2018. Check-in will begin at 8:15am on Saturday at St. Mary’s, and we will return by 2:00pm on Sunday.
