SERVICEPROJECTSin our community, heading to the local soup kitchen, or using our time and energy to support any number of people in our community and our world, we are sure to provide opportunities throughout the year for our young people to give back to the community and learn what it means to lead a life of service. The information below will tell you about what service opportunities we have coming during this year. See below for upcoming events; this will be updated as we add events for the school year.

Franciscans of the Eucharist Mobile Pantry

The Franciscans of the Eucharist are a religious order in Chicago who serves those in need in the Humboldt Park area of Chicago. On the first Saturday of each month, they have a Mobile Food Pantry to help serve their neighbors in need, and this May we will head to Chicago to help with this Mobile Pantry!



Saturday, May 5th

7am – 2:30pm

The Franciscans of the Eucharist run the Mission of Our Lady of Angels at  3808 W. Iowa St., Chicago, IL 60651. You can learn more at https://www.missionola.com/.


All teens are welcome to join us! This event is open to any teenager in Jr. High or High School who turns in a permission form signed by a parent or guardian. We will also need adult drivers and chaperones to attend that day – drivers must be 21 years old or older and have completed all Safe Environment training and paperwork.


7am – Depart from St. Mary’s

8:30am – Mobile Pantry

11am – Holy Hour

12pm – Lunch

12:30pm – Drive back to St. Mary’s


You can register by turning in this signed permission form (click here) to the Youth Ministry Office no later than Thursday, May 3, 2018. You can also find copies of this permission form outside of the youth ministry office. There is no cost to attend.
