Are you a young adult looking to grow in your faith, make new friends and have a little fun doing it? Then consider joining the St. Mary Young Adult Community.

Our Community is open to anyone in their 20s or 30s, single or married, at any stage of your journey with God. We have a wide variety of activities throughout the year, including Theology on Tap, social gatherings, and opportunities for spiritual growth, volunteering, and retreat. Below you will find an outline of our normal gatherings; check out the Facebook Page below for current event updates and more!

Weekly YAC Gatherings – every Thursday at 7:15pm at St. Mary (Note that every 3rd Thursday of the month, we meet at Thirsty Whale pub in Algonquin Commons for a social gathering at 7:15pm)

We meet every week to walk our journey of faith together as a Young Adult Community. The content of the gatherings varies with discussions, presentations, and faith-sharing as it relates to our journey of faith, relationships, work-life, and balancing it all as young adult Catholics.

Theology on Tap – Select Friday evenings at 7:00pm (See below)

A speaker and discussion series for young adults directed towards the needs and experiences of young adults in their 20s and 30s, single or married. We hold several of these events through the year as well as a summer series. These events are well attended and draw young adults from many area parishes. Food and beverages are provided. It’s a great way to unwind after a busy week, listen to a good talk and engage in some good conversation over an ice-cold beverage.

Volunteer Opportunities – Various Dates

Perhaps you feel a calling to give a little of your time toward helping someone less fortunate. Why not join other young adults who feel the same way. Come to one of our weekly meetings and see what opportunities are in the works. You’ll meet some great young adults who are striving to put their faith into action.
