Fr. Max1Fr. Max Striedl, Pastor

Originally from Batavia, Fr. Max completed his undergraduate studies at Purdue University, and four years later felt called to the priesthood.  He studied at Mundelein Seminary, and was ordained for the Diocese of Rockford by Bishop Doran on May 25, 1996.  Fr. Max says: “I absolutely love being a parish priest!  I wouldn’t trade it for the world.  I feel honored and humbled every day that the Lord would ask me to do this work for Him.  It is truly a blessing and a joy, and I’m so happy and excited that He has allowed me to serve this wonderful Parish Family of St. Mary.”

Fr. Sean Grismer, Parochial Vicar

The psalmist says, “How can I repay the Lord for His goodness to me?” Realizing that nothing is sufficient to give back to Him who has given all, he responds to his own question “The chalice of salvation I will raise.” What a priestly prayer! I cannot thank God for all the good He has given me, especially for a first parish such as this- but I can offer to Him the chalice of salvation. I am humbled to be a part of such an incredible parish and I thank you for your prayers as we walk this journey together.
