Our Program
Registration for the Confirmation retreat this weekend has now closed. Anyone looking to register for our program must contact the Youth Ministry office BEFORE October 28th to be considered for the program, as our monthly sessions begin in November. After this date, we will not be able to consider any additional students for this year's program.
A printable registration form is below. Payment can be dropped off at the St. Mary Youth Ministry Office, room #104. If the office is closed, please put payment in the black box by the door and slip the registration form under the door; payment can be placed in an envelope with your teen's name on it and deposited into the black box outside our office. Checks can be made out to St. Mary Catholic Church.
Any student approved to register in October will need to contact other area Catholic churches to complete their retreat at another location (please have that church notify us in writing of your student's attendance at their retreat).

Target Age Group
This program is intended for youth entering grades 9-12 this fall, 2022.

Retreat Information: October 1st pm 10:00 am - 3:30 pm or October 2nd @ 10:30 am - 4 pm
Parent meeting held at the beginning of each retreat date (Sat 10-10:45 am or Sun 10:30-11:15 am).
We will begin the year with a retreat to introduce each teen to the program, volunteers, and one another.
Each teen only needs to attend one of the dates.
Sponsors are not required to come.
Both retreats will be held in the St. Mary Parish Hall.

- Find and call a parish to ask if you can join their confirmation retreat and obtain a letter for proof of participation. Submit this to Melissa Lucca (hard copy or email).
- Contact Melissa for additional options.

Monthly Sessions Held in the Parish Hall
There are three monthly sessions from which you can choose on the registration form. You will be registered for the session time and day that you select for all sessions throughout the year. For example, if you select Sunday 3:30-5 pm, you will attend the Sunday 3:30-5 pm session for the whole year. Your options are the following:
Sunday: 10-11:30 am
Sunday: 3:30-5 pm
Monday: 6-7:30 pm
Sunday: 10-11:30 am
Sunday: 3:30-5 pm
Monday: 6-7:30 pm
Depending on the session you choose, you will attend on the following dates on a Sunday or Monday:
October 1st or 2nd (retreat)
November 13th or 14th
December 4th or 5th
January 8th or 9th
February 5th or 6th
March 5th or 6th
April 2nd or 3rd
May TBD Depending on our confirmation date, we will use this session for a Mass rehearsal.

Specific forms are required for an individual to receive the sacrament of confirmation. Fill out the following forms:

- Proof of baptism is also required for those not baptized at St. Mary Huntley. If your child was not baptized at St. Mary Huntley, please submit a copy of the student's baptismal certificate via email, mail, or office drop off at the Youth Ministry Office, room #104. Due October 2, 2022.
- Sponsor Form: Choose a sponsor to accompany you at each monthly session as an additional support person for prayer and role model in the faith. Sponsor requirements are detailed on the form. A parent or guardian will need to be present for sessions sponsors cannot attend. Due October 2, 2022

Cost
The $100 fee for this program covers the kick-off retreat and educational resources. This can be paid through the online registration platform, when that opens, or with cash or check. If this is a hardship, please speak with us. We do offer payment plans and scholarships based on financial circumstances.
Charity Challenge
Charity is a fundamental Christian virtue. Our program will include opportunities to learn about and live this virtue. A service project will be expected of each candidate. Details will be explained at the first session.
Permissions
St. Mary Huntley may use photo or video for promotional efforts in our parish bulletin, parish website, Diocesan materials, parish social media, or other channels. By enrolling, I give permission for my child to be featured in these ways for Youth Ministry for the 2022-23 school year.
