Called & Chosen (Vocations Ministry)
Traveling Vocation Chalice - The Vocation Chalice is starting its 2nd year this Fall. Each week, the chalice will be received by a family at the 10:30 AM Sunday Mass to take home in order that they might pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life. The chalice will serve as a visible reminder to pray together for vocations and will be accompanied by a book of prayers.
To sign up to have the Chalice in your home, just stop in the parish office or call the parish office (847-669-3137) to reserve your weekend. You may also sign up at the email below. Questions? Contact Called & Chosen Vocation Ministry at: called.chosen@stmaryhuntley.org |

K of C Ladies' Auxilary
The St. Mary Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary is about faith, friendship and service.
The Ladies Auxiliary’s primary goal is to provide organized assistance to the Knights of Columbus. We also provide the opportunity to form friendships and serve Christ by serving our Church, our community and each other.
We are always open to new members who are at least 18 years of age. Members are not required to be related to a Knight of Columbus. All that is required is a love of God and a desire to provide community service based on the mission.
The Ladies Auxiliary was founded in 2014. We meet every third Tuesday of the month.

Holy Family Rosary Ministry
This organization makes rosaries for distribution at St. Mary’s Church as well as for many missions, hospitals and various other organizations and individuals requesting them. Many of those in the United States who request the rosaries, in turn donate them throughout the world. We receive many thank you notes from those whose lives are touched by rosaries made and shared by our parish.
If you would like to become involved, please contact Maria at (224) 569-6640 or Holly at (847) 508-4704.

Respect Life Committee
The USCCB has directed dioceses and their parishes to use all resources in building a culture of life in America. Their pastoral plan asks the ministries to focus on four areas: Prayer, Pastoral Care, Advocacy and Education. The St. Mary’s Respect Life Ministry works in many ways to answer the Bishops’ challenge in each of these areas.
We are prayerfully guided by our Mission Statement: “We, the St. Mary Respect Life Ministry, openly declare our commitment to the sanctity and dignity of Life. The immeasurable value of all human life from conception until natural death, whether that life is unborn, elderly, mentally handicapped, physically challenged, poor or discouraged is unique and valuable. All life is to be cherished as a gift from the Creator.”
The Ministry meets the third Wednesday of every month at 8:45 AM. We invite new members. For more information, please contact Helen at (847) 669-7376.
Active members are helped with an extensive line of “friends” who contribute time and talent as needed. Your contribution of time, prayer or financial donation does make a difference.

Charismatic Prayer Group
The New Life Charismatic Prayer group is part of a worldwide renewal movement within the Catholic Church. The Mission of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal is to encourage the awareness and experience of the role of the Holy Spirit among Catholics as part of their daily life. The Prayer Group is a weekly gathering of fellow Catholics to give praise, thanks, and honor to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. It is a time we gather to praise God on a one-to-one basis, as the Holy Spirit moves us. Members of other parishes join us.
We meet in the St. Elizabeth room at 7:00 PM and end promptly at 9:00 PM most Wednesdays.
Each prayer meeting consists of an opening prayer; time of praise and worship; singing; prophecy (God speaking through someone); tongues (in song as well); interpretation of tongues; scripture reading; teachings; testimony; sharing. We are guided by Scripture, the teachings of the Catholic Church, and the Holy Spirit.
Many Catholics are unaware of the gifts the Holy Spirit, especially those he gave us at Pentecost. They do not fully understand the gifts, how they are acquired, how they are discerned or how they are to be used. The New Life Prayer group wants to share an awareness of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit with all Catholics.
For more information contact Howie Gielow, (847) 669-6041 or email Newlife@foxvalley.net.
